Civil/Environmental Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Base pay range: $60,000 – $80,000 per year. Salary will be based on experience and discussed with the manager during the interview.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop stormwater management plans, including analysis and design of stormwater systems (e.g., drainage channels, detention basins, culverts).
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using software such as HEC‑RAS, SWMM, or similar tools.
Prepare engineering reports, drawings, and specifications for project proposals and permitting.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors.
Conduct site evaluations, field inspections, and oversee construction to ensure project compliance with design specifications and local regulations.
Assist in preparing project budgets, schedules, and proposals.
Provide technical support and mentorship to junior staff.
Determine and develop the most effective site solution utilizing Stormwater product offerings.
Present project‑specific solutions to civil engineering specifiers.
Provide design calculations and drawings for integration into civil engineering plans to secure product solutions on site plans.
Respond to civil engineers on project‑specific inquiries and industry questions, including local stormwater regulations.
Establish and maintain rapport with civil engineer specifiers.
Support area and internal team members to achieve team goals.
Provide project and technical support for submittal drawings, calculations, regulatory approvals, production, and product delivery.
Record project information accurately.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
5+ years of experience in civil/stormwater engineering.
Knowledge in stormwater design including green infrastructure practices.
Strong knowledge of CAD software and drafting procedures.
Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation).
Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to stormwater management.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Experience with green infrastructure and low‑impact development (LID) design.
Familiarity with stormwater quality modeling and best management practices (BMPs).
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project needs.
