About Our church is located in the Chinese community of Denver, Colorado, USA. It has been established for over 30 years and is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA), the Rocky Mountain District, and the Association of North American Chinese Evangelical Free Churches (ANACEFC).Through small groups, we are committed to shepherding believers with God’s Word, encouraging their participation in local and overseas missions, and faithfully proclaiming the gospel.
Position Expectations & Main Responsibilities We are seeking a faithful pastor who will lead our church to grow in God’s Word and love, and who will equip and build up a team of lay coworkers to serve the Lord together.
Main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Preaching on Sundays, leading worship services, and administrating the sacraments* (*The Lord’s Supper and baptism are limited to ordained pastors.)
Organizing Bible studies, small groups, discipleship training, and equipping courses
Planning evangelistic events; caring visits, counseling, and prayer support
Supporting the church’s missions ministries and encouraging participation in missions
Assisting in the development of various ministries such as children, youth, family, and seniors
Qualifications
Able to preach in Mandarin and communicate in English
Able to read and write in both Chinese and English
At least two years of theological training related to pastoral ministry
Prior pastoral experience in a North American Chinese church is preferred
In agreement with and willing to uphold the doctrinal statement of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA)
Spiritually mature, of upright character, a good team player, and possessing a shepherd’s heart
A burden for missions and a willingness to partner with the church to expand gospel work
