This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact data governance projects for leading German banks and financial institutions, focusing on regulatory compliance and modern data concepts.
Position Overview As a Data Management Team Member, you will play a crucial role in developing deep expertise in data governance frameworks and contributing to the interpretation and practical implementation of critical regulatory frameworks such as BCBS 239 and EBA/ECB guidelines within client environments. You will have the opportunity to explore modern data concepts like data mesh, data fabric, and data modeling while enhancing your technical and analytical skills using programming tools such as SQL, C, Python, SAS, and R.
Responsibilities
Strengthen understanding of critical regulatory frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239, EBA/ECB guidelines) by contributing to their interpretation and supporting practical implementation within client environments
Explore modern data concepts such as data mesh, data fabric, and data modeling
Enhance technical and analytical skills using programming tools (SQL, C, Python, SAS, R) while understanding data flow in banking IT architectures
Work across disciplines, supporting clients in optimizing data management strategies and ensuring compliance
Collaborate with professionals from PwC Poland and PwC Germany
Requirements
Fluency in German (reading and writing)
University degree in mathematics, IT systems, programming, science, or a related field
At least 1 year of experience in data management
Familiarity with BCBS 239 and corresponding ECB guidelines, with practical implementation experience
Solid understanding of banking IT infrastructures, including architecture, data flows, and system interdependencies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel)
Proactive, structured, and self-organized work approach
Open communication skills and motivation to learn and collaborate
Nice-to-have skills: knowledge of data modeling, data governance, modern concepts like data mesh or data fabric, and basic programming skills or understanding of SQL, C, Python, SAS, or R
