Description Lakeside Educational Network is dedicated to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for students' mental and emotional well‑being. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our In‑School Counselor Program within the Council Rock School District. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students' social and emotional development, helping them overcome challenges and succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students to address mental health, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

Collaborate with educators, parents, and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.

Actively listen to students, ask insightful questions, and create a safe space for students to express their concerns.

Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance students' overall well‑being, resilience, and academic performance.

Monitor and document student progress, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to district policies.

Advocate for students' needs and connect families with community resources when appropriate.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate support services.

Skills And Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work.

Valid state licensure or certification as a School Social Worker or School Counselor.

Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational or clinical setting.

Strong understanding of mental health issues, developmental stages, and intervention strategies.

Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and community resources.

Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and related procedures.

Compassionate, patient, and committed to fostering a positive school environment.

Requirements
