Physical Requirements Occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects; sitting or standing for long periods of time; some work may be performed outside; some work may require the operation of a golf/utility cart

Shift Sunday – Saturday, with frequent weekend and night shifts; flexible scheduling around classes. Typically about 10 to 15 hours per week.

Job Summary The Student Technician provides audio/visual support for events across campus. As an entry level position, the technician is trained in basic sound reinforcement, video production, lighting principles and equipment. Dependability and a positive attitude are required.

Experience in sound reinforcement, video production, stage lighting, and computer use for presentations is preferred.

Students who work with University Events’ Production Services can expect an experience that allows them to work in a fast-paced environment while developing critical thinking and active problem solving skills, as well as gaining customer service and live event production knowledge.

Qualified Federal Work Study (FWS) applicants will also be considered.
