Ameron™, a wholly owned subsidiary of Arcosa, Inc., is searching for a Mold Operator to join our team in Anniston, AL. As a Mold Operator, you’ll follow specific instructions to perform a variety of routine manual labor tasks or assist skilled workers in simple production, process, or maintenance tasks.
Ameron™ is a leader in the manufacture of poles for street lighting and traffic control. Our extensive line of Ameron™ brand products can be used in residential areas and commercial developments, including streets, highways, shopping centers and pedestrian pathways. From industrial to DOT to municipal, we have just the right pole.
What You’ll Do:
Perform and assist other skilled workers involved in the production of concrete poles including fabrication, demolding, finishing and assembly by a variety of functions such as assembling and placing component parts, sorting, and counting, cleaning, sweeping, storing of tools and other tasks as needed
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, production manuals and work instructions
Participate in inventories of materials and supplies
Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
Follow all safety practices, procedures and protocols
Become involved in safety committees or initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
Operate forklifts, overhead cranes and other mobile equipment as required
What You’ll Need:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience preferred
Basic understanding of a manufacturing work environment
Ability to work daily overtime and weekends if needed
Ability to work in different weather conditions (hot/cold)
The ability to maintain good attendance
The ability to be a strong team member
Education High School or better.
Experience
