Description
The Management Analyst II provides advanced analytical and project management support within The Tisch Cancer Center, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. This role leverages state-of-the-art performance tools and methodologies to optimize administrative and operational functions. The focus is on enhancing financial and research program efficiencies, guiding strategic initiatives, and supporting senior leadership in data‑driven decision‑making.
Responsibilities
Conduct detailed operational analyses to improve research funding strategies and institutional resource allocation.
Analyze grant portfolios, member accomplishments, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform leadership on strategic priorities.
Lead workflow redesign projects, applying data‑driven approaches to enhance administrative and research processes.
Evaluate organizational models, recommending structural or procedural enhancements to improve center‑wide efficiency.
Develop forecasting models and reporting tools to assist senior leadership with financial and operational planning.
Develop feasibility studies and business plans to assess new initiatives and strengthen cancer research infrastructure.
Design interactive dashboards using PowerBI or Tableau to visualize key metrics and streamline decision‑making.
Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate complex datasets for reporting and analysis.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred (Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or related field).
3+ years (higher preferred) related experience required.
Preferred:
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience at an NCI-designated Cancer Center.
Proficiency in EVAL, InfoEd and/or Tableau.
Familiarity with cancer registry data and diagnostic codes.

Compensation The salary range for the role is $62,571 - $89,843 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
