Role Overview You will serve as a hybrid Inside Sales and CDL Driver at Airgas. This role blends driving expertise with customer service, driving growth and ensuring smooth store operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide inside sales support: engage customers, assess needs, provide quotes, and recommend solutions.
Deliver products safely and reliably when driving a Class B CDL; step in as backup driver when needed.
Maintain store operations: organize merchandise, process sales in system, and ensure an efficient customer experience.
Build relationships: be the first point of contact for in‑store and phone customers.
Ensure safe handling of hazardous cargo; lift and manage merchandise 25‑75 lbs (125+ lbs with assist).
Qualifications
Minimum one year of Class A or B CDL driving experience within the last 5 years, or recent graduate of an accredited driving school.
Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement (or ability to obtain upon offer).
Clean Motor Vehicle Record and age 21 or older.
Excellent customer service skills and a proactive attitude.
Physical stamina to lift, bend, walk, stand, and drive up to 8 hours a day with hazardous cargo.
Familiarity with sales platforms or ability to learn SAP/CRM and basic computer order entry.
Benefits Pay starts at $26/hour and increases after 30 days. Full‑time employees receive medical, dental, vision, vacation, sick time, floating holidays, and paid holidays.
