Responsibilities
Order and Quote Management and Entry: Oversee accurate and timely entry of customer orders in the SAP ERP system, ensuring all specifications and requirements are captured correctly
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with Sales, R&D, Engineering, Estimating, Quality, Logistics, and Production teams to align on customer requirements, resolve issues, and ensure project success.
Contract Reviews: Lead compliance culture by conducting thorough reviews of contracts and ensure compliance with customer expectations, company capabilities, export control requirements (e.g., ITAR, DPAS), identify and highlight potential risks.
Customer Communication: Act as the primary contact for customer orders, manage customer requests, and ensure changes are effectively communicated and implemented with internal teams via SAP and PLM systems.
Sales Support: Provide support to sales managers by assisting with inquiry reviews and quotation processes, ensure timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries.
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with aerospace and defense customers, addressing inquiries and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction (CSI KPI).
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain high accuracy of project records in SAP ERP, PLM, and file systems, provide status reports to internal and external stakeholders, and ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and regulations, including export control requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance customer experience within the aerospace and defense sectors.
Qualifications
5+ years of customer service experience in a business environment – preferably Aerospace/Defense
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to read drawings and understand customer specifications
Dependable, positive attitude, ability to work independently and in a fast‑paced environment
Attentive to detail, multitasker, energetic, and forward thinking
Demonstrates an initiative for success and must be self‑motivated
Knowledge of SAP/S4 or similar operating system is a plus but we will train
Background in materials or metal industry is a plus but we will train
Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%) for customer visits, trade shows, and to Plansee global sites
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident and agree to and pass a criminal background and credit check required to view export‑controlled information
