Airco is seeking a Commercial HVAC Sales Engineer / Sales Estimator to drive growth in our commercial and industrial HVAC / mechanical contracting business. The ideal candidate will bring a proven book of business and be comfortable both selling and bidding projects ranging from smaller multi-thousand-dollar scopes to large, multi-million-dollar contracts.

This role is a cornerstone of our growth strategy – blending business development with technical estimating expertise to secure profitable work across the spectrum of project sizes.

Key Responsibilities

Leverage an existing book of business to generate new opportunities in the commercial and industrial HVAC markets.

Sell projects across a broad range – from service and retrofit jobs in the tens of thousands to major new construction or system replacements worth millions.

Build and maintain relationships with owners, GCs, developers, engineers, and decision‑makers.

Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Represent Winchester Mechanical at client meetings, trade associations, and industry events.

Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects ranging from $10K–$2M+.

Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define scope and requirements.

Solicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor pricing.

Deliver competitive proposals and clear bid packages to clients.

Work closely with project managers to ensure estimates translate into successful execution.

Coordinate with internal teams for seamless transition from sale to project delivery.

Provide market insights on pricing, trends, and competitors.

Support or mentor junior estimators when needed.

$100,000 Base – $250,000 OTE

Requirements / Qualifications

7+ years of experience in HVAC / mechanical contracting with a strong mix of sales and estimating.

Proven ability to win and price projects ranging from small commercial jobs to multi‑million‑dollar contracts.

Established book of business and regional client network.

In‑depth knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical design, and construction practices.

Proficiency with estimating tools, Microsoft Excel, and related software.

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
