Warehouse Inventory Cycle Counter

Purpose The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity within the warehouse. This position will continually count each location and verify material on the floor vs the information in the warehouse management system.

General Policy

Perform cycle counts of designated areas following the schedule set by manager.

Print the locator reports from Dynamics for specific locations to count following the set schedule.

Develop, implement, and monitor all key functions related to inventory cycle counts and material movement to assure that they are accurate and timely.

Coordinate the cycle count progress and results to identify necessary recounts and provide regular updates on the findings.

Notify warehouse manager, supervisor and other designated personnel of shortages, damages or other discrepancies that could impact product availability.

Enter new and updated bin locations in Microsoft Dynamics following the movement sheets generated for inbound and the ones generated after row consolidation and daily warehouse activities.

Responsible for filing and storing completed movement sheets.

Verify, report, and when applicable correct discrepancies found while updating movement sheets and row charts.

Assist with physical counts of the inventory on hand, audits and inventory reconciliations when needed.

Report and assist with resolving floor inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.

Perform initial research of discrepancies found during the cycle counts:

Research of lot history in Microsoft Dynamics including sales orders, and adjustments.

Research and verification of piece count, pallet count and material committed to sales orders.

Walkthrough of current bin locations, and past known locations to verify inventory levels.

Review of overages, nonconforming area and dump lots.

Participate in the planning, counting and reconciliation of year-end physical inventory in conjunction with the Inventory and warehouse team.

Assist Quality Coordinator and Inventory Coordinator with physical counts related to customer complaints when needed.

Manage the addition, resale and disposal of materials that are labeled as dump lots.

Follow implemented SOP’s and commit to the Ravago Quality Management System.

Maintain a safe working environment, observer all Company safety policies.

Operate all forklift equipment safely and effectively, conduct forklift inspection at the beginning of each shift.

Must be able to lift 55 lbs. as part of the job function.

Must be able to pass the forklift certification test and drive a forklift on a daily basis.

All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Experience / Certifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and aptitude to learn new applications.

Excellent multi-tasking, time management and organization skills.

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Experience:

3+ years warehouse/inventory management experience required.

3+ years in previous Supply Chain/Operations experience in a related industry, preferred.

Strong knowledge of inventory management processes and systems.

Intermediate experience with Windows based applications to include Word and Excel.

Demonstrated understanding of product flow and productivity standards.

5 plus years and e x pert level forklift operation.

Work Environment / Conditions The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience and therefore must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.

Physical Requirements / Demands

Must be able to lift 55 lbs.

Must have color vision.

Have use of fingers and hands for writing and typing.

Occasionally reach with hands & arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the seasons.
