Summary: The Shift Lead assists in coordinating and monitoring activities of workers engaged in the production process by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities
Supervises employees throughout the production areas and monitors their activities
Coordinates daily activities of the production group with all departments to meet production and sanitation goals.
Monitors and tracks performance of assigned lines and reports to supervision, maintenance and QA any issues.
Performs daily shift review meetings at the end of each shift with the oncoming shift to communicate performance and issues throughout the shift.
Assists in training hourly employees.
Assures compliance with all safety and good manufacturing practices.
Communicates with Supervisors and other Lead personnel any problems or concerns that surface during shift.
Supports special projects as needed.
Performs attendance at beginning of shift and monitors employees for GMP compliance.
Additional Responsibilities
Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
The role is non-exempt at $24.10 to $30.79 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications
1 year of experience in a manufacturing production environment with specific experience managing the production lines
HS Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of 2-3 years supervisory experience preferably in food production
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
The employee is regularly required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
The employee moves objects
regularly up to 5 pounds
occasionally up to 30 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities and/or defects in food products.
