Your job is more than a job. As a Scheduler, you coordinate patients’ and providers’ schedules, align hospital facilities, and manage insurance authorizations to ensure timely patient care. Your commitment keeps every patient’s experience positive.

Your Everyday

Schedule patient appointments.

Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and departments for visits and appointments.

Guide patients on basic appointment queries, assist with rescheduling and follow‑ups.

Schedule surgery procedures using the EMR scheduling block system.

Gather basic information relative to scheduled patients.

Understand inventory supplies and surgical procedures.

Answer the phone professionally and courteously.

Maintain constant and courteous telecommunications with surgeons, nurse coordinators and secretaries.

Maintain and promote good working relationships within the hospital and the department.

Escalate issues to the appropriate supervisor.

Complete daily surgical schedule and distribute as appropriate.

Scan surgery/PACU/SPD logs into the appropriate file.

The Must‑Haves

High school diploma/GED and one year of experience in a physician’s office or surgery scheduling.

Three years of experience in lieu of education.

Work Shift Days (United States of America).
