Arcosa Marine is searching for a Safety‑Oriented 2nd Shift Crane Operator at its Ashland City, TN barge manufacturing plant. Our Crane Operators work for a company that puts employees first and offers great benefits.
Arcosa Marine Products, Inc. is part of Arcosa’s Inland Barge Group and is the leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. We produce dry‑cargo barges (flat‑deck, hopper), tank barges for petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes, and the largest U.S. fiberglass hopper barge covers used on grain barges. We also provide a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.
What You’ll Do
Operate a handheld remote‑controlled overhead crane
Operate a steel yard overhead crane
Move and lift more than 10 tons
Perform daily inspection, assigned maintenance, and safe operation of the assigned crane
Secure the crane properly at the end of each shift
Support other departments and/or machine operators as needed
Follow all safety rules and practices
May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
On‑site training as a Crane Operator will be provided
Ability to move and lift more than 10 tons
Ability to read and write to complete standard records
Knowledge and experience in operating controls, rigging principles, hand signals, and safe lifting procedures
Must be able to operate the crane and lift loads in a safe and non‑hazardous manner to ensure the safety of operator and all other employees in the area
