OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for a Shipping and Receiving Associate II to manage shipping/receiving responsibilities as defined, to ensure accurate data entry and transactions, and product and material movement in and out of the site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to operate a forklift (Stand-up, and sit down), pallet jack, plastic bander and shrink wrap machine

Communicate with purchasing on what supplies are required for orders

Run and perform cycle counts

Enter information into customer portals

Collaborate with Material Handlers on ensuring shipments are packaged and prepared

Ability to use critical thinking skills to navigate issues that arise and assist with process improvement

Assist with “pulling” and communicating with sales and production to meet shipment deadlines

Optimize shipping lanes and racks to ensure product is well organized and prepared for shipments

The ability to unload trucks for receiving

Operate box trucks for local deliveries and building transfers

Assist in training level I

Assist with process improvement for the department

Optimize material racks to ensure they are correctly labeled, well organized, and prepared for operators

Collaborate with purchasing to define the most efficient times for product delivery

Identify urgent material/items that need to be received first and notify appropriate departments so they can complete their tasks as soon as they are available

Communicate with operators to identify what material/items are needed at their station daily

Run and perform cycle counts

Research transactions, when necessary, in relation to receiving, to locate items or identify issues

Cross trained in both buildings to receive materials, items, and outside processing

Identify incorrect packaging from suppliers and ensure that it is communicated with quality, purchasing and/or the materials manager to pass on to the correct supplier contact

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years’ related experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting preferred

Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders

Attention to detail and quality

Monday-Thursday; 6:00am-4:30pm

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
