Support Teacher (Floater) 2:00pm-6:00pm Primrose School of West Carrollton – 4028 Nazarene Dr., Carrollton, TX 75010.

Hours: 2:00pm–6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

As a Support Teacher you will help young minds explore, discover, and understand the world around them. Your role promotes the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child following the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.

Observe all rules and regulations applicable to child care at Primrose School and local, state, or national agencies concerning health, safety, and child care.

Implement approved lesson plans and the daily classroom schedule per the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum.

Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make confident decisions.

Provide verbal recognition and acceptance while setting clear, consistent behavior expectations.

Maintain maintenance and housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds.

Maintain a professional personal appearance in accordance with the employee handbook.

Assist in other capacities as directed by the Director or designee.

Desired Skills & Experience

Meet basic requirements of local child‑care regulatory agencies.

Previous teaching or assistant‑teaching experience in a licensed early‑childhood program preferred.

Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for child‑related tasks, including lifting infants into or out of a crib for infant/young‑toddler teachers.
