The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company‑wide and have expanded throughout the Midwest.
Job Summary The Lead CDL Driver is responsible for leading a group of CDL Drivers in their day‑to‑day duties.
Hours and Wages
Monday‑Friday, 7:30 AM – completion of route
5–15 hours of overtime may be required each week
Variable shifts (days, nights, weekends) based on business needs
Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week
Starting wage: $26.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience
Duties and Responsibilities
Complete routes for absent employees
Assist drivers with daily morning duties such as sorting freight, loading trucks, and other duties as needed
Assist with the initial training period of new drivers
Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers
Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle
Collect payments as needed
Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers
Notify management of any problems or discrepancies
Maintain a professional personal appearance and cleanliness of the vehicle
Participate in weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignments
Travel may be required
Perform other required duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities
Ability to operate a manual transmission
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement
Good customer service and organizational skills
Leadership skills and the ability to make quick decisions
Education and Experience
At least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license or successfully complete company‑paid CDL training program
Physical Requirements
Pass a DOT physical exam
Bend, lift, twist, climb stairs while moving freight on and off the company vehicle
Lift and move freight weighing up to 100 pounds
Work with all types of freight, including hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
