Job Start Date:
January. Initially located in De Queen, AR for the first 3 months (5 days per week, per diem provided), then transferring back to Monticello, AR.
Position Overview Southeast Connections, LLC provides inclusive infrastructure solutions for the natural gas industry, constructing systems and facilities to transport the nation's cleanest burning energy resource. The company offers complete construction services, including pipeline construction, installation, maintenance, repairs, stations, facility modification, and new construction.
Essential Functions
Operate HDD Drills (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch) to drill and install underground gas lines.
Place, remove or maintain underground utilities as directed (e.g., carrying pipe, bags of material, jack hammering, shoveling, tamping, installing pipe, duct or cable).
Participate in manual labor tasks required on the project.
Secure work sites, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and equipment safety; ensure compliance with company safety protocols.
Wear personnel protective equipment when required.
Follow proper safety and incident reporting procedures; bring problems to foreman or supervisor.
Execute job deliverables according to customer specifications and contract requirements.
Ensure all project work is compliant with installation standards and performed safely and correctly.
Promote and monitor safety of team members.
Prepare sites to optimize construction work procedures.
Qualifications / Special Knowledge Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Attention to detail and thorough documentation of repairs, inspections, and calibrations.
Ability to think practically and creatively to implement best safety practices.
Responds quickly and efficiently to emergency situations while remaining calm.
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Three to five years of experience operating HDD equipment in underground utility or pipeline construction.
Previous experience in the natural gas industry highly preferred.
Certifications in HDD Operation, safety training, and utility locating desirable.
