Punch Press Die Setter / Operator

Ohio Gasket and Shim is a Stamping and Fabrication shop that is seeking a 1st Shift Punch Press Die Setter / Operator The hours for a 1st Shift Position - flexible hours - M-TH 10 hrs or M-F 8 hrs or M-TH 9 hrs & F 4 hrs - starting time can be discussed.

This position is responsible for the proper setup, operation and maintenance of equipment with Progressive Dies, Compound Dies, and Single-Hit tooling.

Essential Functions

Safety - knowledge, understanding and ability to follow lockout/tagout procedure/program, press guarding, pullbacks and PPE

Stage work site and prepare press of setup - follow procedures and setup area for production

Prepare die(s) for installation

Setup press and install die(s)

Prepare and adjust uncoiler and straightener

Make a quality piece part

Run production when all machines have been setup

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Basic blueprint reading

Basic reading and math skills

At least 5 years Punch Press Operator experience in a Metal Stamping environment
