OPS Program Coordinator, Part-Time

Mission Florida State University (FSU) seeks to fill a part‑time position of a Program Coordinator in the newly established FSU Quantum Initiative. The mission of FSU Quantum is to the discovery of novel quantum phenomena that can impact the design of engineered systems for quantum information processing, communication, sensing, and algorithms, as well as devices and hardware that rely on quantum protocols. The FSU Quantum involves 25 faculty members and about 50 junior researchers from five participating departments and two colleges.
Responsibilities
Facilitate FSU Quantum activities by conducting faculty searches.
Advertise and administer postdoctoral and graduate student fellowships.
Develop disciplinary educational certificates.
Plan and organize programmatic seminars and symposia.
Monitor funding opportunities.
Interface with FSU Quantum partners.
Regularly update information on the website.
Qualifications
Minimum: B.S. or B.A. degree.
Strong organizational skills, including filing documentation, maintaining email communication with participants and partners, and tracking commitments and deadlines relevant to various activities of the center.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with assisting in program coordination or similar enterprise.
Schedule and Background Check This position requires 25 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, with a flexible schedule to be discussed with applicants. A criminal history background check may be required based on duties.
