About This Role The Social Worker Licensed Master’s will work under the direction of the Manager of Rehab Program, Psychologist, and Certified Social Worker, and will be responsible for conducting screening, diagnostic evaluations, and providing therapeutic interventions to patients. This includes brief therapy and crisis intervention using evidence‑based practices in adherence to licensure standards and state and federal rules and regulations.
What You Bring To The Table
Education:
Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or a related field.
Experience:
One (1) or more years of experience in a mental health treatment program, preferably in a correctional or hospital setting.
Licenses/Certifications:
Licensed or license‑eligible as a Master’s Social Worker by the Social Work Licensing Board.
What You Will Do
Conduct intake evaluations and assessments for patients referred by various sources, including security, healthcare staff, and community sources, and make appropriate recommendations for further care.
Develop and implement treatment plans, including individual and group therapy, psychoeducational groups, and substance abuse counseling, based on clinical findings and patient needs.
Provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention interventions as needed, assess for suicide risk, and provide consultation to security and healthcare staff on patient behaviors, safety concerns, and mental health issues.
Participate in treatment team meetings, classification meetings, and other required administrative meetings, as well as CQI and QA studies, and provide staff training on relevant mental health topics.
Document findings, diagnosis, treatment course, and other required documentation in patients’ health records, ensuring compliance with facility and company policies and procedures, including safety and mental health policies.
