General Description Arkansas State University – Beebe campus is seeking an Administrative Specialist II to support the McKay Student Center One Stop, which assists students with education‑related expenses. The One Stop works with other campus offices to provide student services. The position works primarily 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional extensions to 6:00 pm during peak enrollment months. The role reports to the Director of Advising and Learning and requires excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Attention to detail, ability to multitask, problem‑solving, and adaptability to change are essential. Some knowledge of the ASU‑Beebe enrollment process is helpful, though training will be provided.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Greet walk‑in traffic, answer telephone calls, and assist visitors as needed.
Perform administrative tasks necessary to the operation of the One Stop office, including filing, student outreach, mail processing, scanning, and maintaining office supply inventory.
Collaborate with the Office of Admissions, Registrar’s Office, and Cashier’s Office to ensure walk‑in traffic, emails, and phone calls are managed for the One Stop location.
Assist students with understanding the process of submitting all necessary enrollment documents and scheduling campus tours.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
12‑18 months related office experience and/or training.
Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and other computer applications.
Ability to perform in a high‑traffic environment, multitask, maintain attention to detail, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Some overtime may be required.
Minimum Salary $25,552

Reach with hands and arms regularly.
Climb or balance occasionally.
