R-94475We are currently seeking experienced safety-conscious **Equipment Operator** to join the team at **our Hutto Transfer Station, TX**. Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge *plus*, but willing to train the right candidate.*The position is a Day Shift working Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays working 45-55 hours a week.***DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Perform Maintenance around the site and facilities as needed* Operating Dozers, Excavators, Compactors, along with trucks and smaller Equipment* Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions* Customer Service and must be able to communicate with your team**WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:*** The work environment is an outdoor landfill setting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.**MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:*** Experience driving forklift, dozer, or articulated dump truck *preferred** Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment used at facility* Must become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)* Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily* Able to work outside in all weather conditions* Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly***Apply today*** **and Connect with Your Future!**We offer excellent benefits including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, long term disability, life insurance, 401K retirement.**Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
