Job description Company is helping our client find an IT Field Technician to join its team.
In this role, you’ll focus on the hands‑on installation, organization, and maintenance of the company’s IT and security infrastructure. Your work will include structured cabling, camera and access‑control system installations, and on‑site network equipment set up. You’ll partner closely with IT and Facilities teams to ensure secure, well‑organized, and reliable technical environments across offices and operational sites.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑conscious, and enjoys working hands‑on in the field. You’re comfortable supporting physical infrastructure projects, coordinating with cross‑functional teams, and adapting to changing on‑site needs.
As an IT Field Technician, you’ll:
Install and maintain structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber.
Mount, organize, and maintain network and server racks, including switches, routers, and UPS systems.
Install and configure IP cameras, access‑control systems, and related hardware.
Label, document, and maintain cable maps, rack layouts, and installation records.
Perform basic network troubleshooting and connectivity testing.
Coordinate with IT Support to ensure systems are online, secure, and properly configured.
Maintain accurate inventory of cabling, hardware, and installation components.
Ideal candidate profile
2+ years of hands‑on low‑voltage, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure experience.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals (switches, routers, patching, and cable standards).
Experience installing IP cameras and/or access‑control systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to physical workspace safety.
Ability to lift and mount equipment, work on ladders, and manage installations in varied environments.
Collaborative, reliable, and comfortable in fast‑paced technical operations.
