Role Description This is a full-time on‑site role for a Fiber Optic Splicer, located in Selma, TX. The Fiber Optic Splicer will be responsible for installing, splicing, and maintaining fiber optic cable networks. Daily tasks may include using hand tools to perform structured cabling, ensuring network integrity, and collaborating with team members to deliver timely and high-quality results. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to excellence in every phase of the splicing process.
Qualifications
Proficiency in working with fiber optic cables and structured cabling systems
Experience with cabling techniques and hand tools for efficient installations
Basic understanding of electricity and related safety procedures
Ability to follow detailed blueprints or schematics for cable installation and splicing
Physical ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and endurance
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Previous experience in telecom or utilities construction is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent qualification; vocational training is advantageous
