Outside Sales Account Manager (Open)
Location: Binghamton, NY - Filling industrial & Elmira, NY - Filling industrial

Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales plans using Airgas' sales directives to service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts.
Qualify and pursue sales leads.
Cultivate customer relationships by developing a deep knowledge of the customer's business and establishing a consultative relationship.
Engage customers by linking the customer's business priorities to the Airgas value proposition.
Prepare sales proposals, quoting pricing, establishing credit terms, and estimating delivery dates based on Airgas production/delivery schedules and logistics.
Keep current with industry insights, Airgas product mixes, and market intelligence on pricing, products, and competition.
Partner with internal resources to accomplish growth objectives and maintain clear communication with departments on customer successes and opportunities.
Maintain and submit sales reports (daily call reports, weekly work plans, monthly and annual territory analyses) via SAP.
Actively review and manage existing customer accounts receivable balances to minimize working capital investment and financial risk.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Proven success using a consultative sales approach across multiple layers of value, establishing mix sales solutions and products.
Minimum of 3 years of outside business‑to‑business sales experience, including solution‑selling and territory management.
Deep knowledge of customer business, macro/microeconomic trends, industry trends, and potential new business opportunities.
Excellent organizational, written, oral communication, and presentation skills with current technology.
Self‑starter, self‑motivated, sense of urgency, independent work capability.
Reliable transportation, current driver’s license, and minimum liability insurance as required by state.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior SAP or Salesforce experience.
Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases, industrial gas/welding supply sales is a plus.
