Job Summary

The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day production activities within the hot rolling and scalping departments, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in the hot rolling processes and equipment, and a commitment to continuous improvement…both within hot rolling and cross department initiatives. Responsibilities

Safety Management:

Champion a strong culture of following plant safety standards and conduct audits to correct non-compliant behaviors and situations. Quality Management:

Work hand in hand with department and site level quality team, participate and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Production Management:

Direct and coordinate all operations to meet production targets, monitor process parameters and KPIs to optimize process, and ensure compliance with metallurgical and customer specifications. Leadership:

Supervise and mentor production foremen and shopfloor employees, develop training programs and KPIs to enhance employee skills, foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence, and report out regular updates to Senior Management. Operational Efficiency:

Identify and implement lean manufacturing processes where needed, develop tools to determine mill availability and capacities, and work hand in hand with maintenance department to prioritize jobs and timeframes to complete them. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline, required. 7+ years of experience in aluminum rolling operations, required. At least 3 years of experience in leadership roles, required. Strong knowledge of hot rolling processes and mill equipment, required. Proven track record in safety, quality, and process optimization, required. Excellent leadership, communications, and problem-solving skills, required. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, required. Ability to pass pre-employment testing under specific area of discipline, required. Willingness to learn, required. This position is responsible for the scalping and hot roll departments and all production activities within. Magnitude:
