Motor Grader Operator

Responsibilities
Operate the grader and other heavy equipment safely and appropriately.
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
Demonstrate an understanding of grades and interpret roadway plans and drawings.
Finish base to a ¼” tolerance; possess the ability to finish different base courses such as lime rock, crushed concrete, and soil cement.
Follow project instructions from construction manager or supervisor.
Work outdoors, which may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt exposure.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds.
2+ years of experience in a similar position.
Knowledge of grader and other heavy equipment, and understanding of computerized controls and electronics.
Can work independently or as an active member of a team.
Out‑of‑town travel and/or overtime is a possibility.
English and Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
