Position
Maintenance Technician responsible for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Candidates with experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting – Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production lines; troubleshoot motors, gearboxes, sensors, PLC-controlled systems, pneumatic valves, and hydraulics; respond quickly to equipment breakdowns; diagnose root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance – Complete scheduled PM tasks; document maintenance activities in CMMS; identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
Installation & Equipment Upgrades – Assist with installation and start-up of new equipment; run wiring, conduit, piping, and mechanical setups; support engineering on equipment modifications.
Facility & Utility Support – Maintain HVAC, compressors, boilers, chillers, and building systems; assist contractors and vendors as needed.
Safety, Food‑Safety & Compliance – Follow LOTO, machine guarding, and GMP safety rules; ensure compliance with HACCP, AIB, FDA, and internal standards; maintain clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
Strong combination of mechanical and electrical skills preferred.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, control circuits.
Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
PLC experience is a plus.
Familiarity with CMMS.
Soft skills – problem solving, teamwork, communication; self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, strong safety mindset.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work around machinery.
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to work overtime or weekends.
