Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Job Description
As a warehouse Shipping and Receiving employee, you will report to the Warehouse Supervisor and play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving inbound freight, processing outbound orders, and performing light assembly tasks. You will utilize bar code scanners and ensure the accurate and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse.
Responsibilities
Receive and process inbound freight and outbound orders.
Use bar code scanners for inventory tracking and order processing.
Perform light assembly tasks as needed.
Pick orders from order sheets and ensure accuracy.
Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment.
Load and unload materials safely.
Utilize handheld tools for packing and shipping orders.
Accurately enter data into multiple computer systems.
Operate material handling machinery, including pallet jacks and pallet wrappers.
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
Adhere to quality standards and established safety procedures.
Collaborate with team members for lifting items over 50 lbs.
Essential Skills
Strong communication skills.
Ability to lift 50-60 lbs safely.
Comfortable with basic hand tools.
Experience in inventory control and warehouse operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with cherry picking or forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory.
Willingness to be trained on cherry pickers.

Work Environment The work environment is in a brand new facility that is not climate controlled, with large ceiling fans circulating the air. The position requires standing and moving throughout the warehouse for most of the shift, ensuring a dynamic and active workday.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
