The Division practices at two 500 bed hospitals located in Springfield and an affiliated 300 bed hospital in Decatur, IL. Educational facilities, an outpatient clinic, and an outpatient vascular laboratory are available on the same campus of one facility in Springfield. Operating endovascular suites are available to facilitate advanced endovascular procedures at all three hospitals and ambulatory procedures are performed in our outpatient facility. The Division also directs an ICAVL inpatient and outpatient Vascular Ultrasound Lab. Division faculty practice in three hospital-based wound centers which provide ample opportunities for clinical activity in CLTI and diabetic foot disease. Academic Environment

Research opportunities are abundant, with strong outcomes research collaboration between the university and our primary hospital and expertise in clinical trials provided by the SIU Center for Clinical Research. Basic and translational research facilities are also available. The section of Vascular Surgery and Department of Surgery are fully committed to supporting a candidate’s academic interests.
