Overview Founded in 1973, The Country Club of Colorado is a private club located at the base of Cheyenne Mountain. Our Pete Dye-designed golf course offers a unique and challenging experience for members and resort guests of The Cheyenne Mountain Resort. The Club also features tennis, pickleball, aquatics, fitness, and wellness amenities. Our professional staff is known for exceptional instruction, hospitality, and hosting high-level events.

We’re seeking a motivated and personable First Assistant Golf Professional to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring PGA Professional to gain hands‑on experience in all facets of golf operations, including instruction, shop management, junior programming, and tournament operations.

Experience Required

High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree preferred)

Minimum 2 years of experience in golf operations (Private Club experience strongly preferred)

Strong knowledge of USGA Rules of Golf

PGA/LPGA membership or Associate status preferred

Proficiency in Golf Genius, Microsoft Office, Jonas POS systems

Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

Essential Responsibilities

Deliver outstanding customer service to members and resort guests

Manage tee sheets and staff schedules with a 7 to10 day outlook

Lead and support golf operations staff

Oversee POS system reporting and merchandise orders

Maintain a welcoming and professional Golf Shop environment

Play golf with members

Coordinate member, corporate, and resort tournaments and leagues

Lead planning and execution of member associations and events

Participate in buying team meetings and vendor demos

Provide club repair services (e.g., regripping, minor modifications)

Recommend equipment and soft goods based on market trends

Teach and fit golf equipment for all ages and skill levels

Support merchandising, inventory control, and vendor relations

Attend trainings, meetings, and contribute to resort committees

Promote a collaborative and positive team culture
