Job Title: Proposal Specialist
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Compensation: $80,000-$105,200 (approx.)
Position Summary The Proposal Specialist leads the proposal development process for a growing design‑build firm. This role manages proposals from start to finish, ensuring high‑quality, compliant, and compelling submissions. The position requires strong writing, organization, and leadership skills, along with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the full proposal lifecycle—from kickoff to final submission.
Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to gather and develop content.
Write and edit technical and marketing content for proposals, presentations, and collateral.
Apply proposal best practices (e.g., Shipley method) to ensure quality and consistency.
Prepare qualification packages, SF330s, design‑build proposals, and interview materials.
Maintain and update marketing content, including resumes, project descriptions, and templates.
Track proposal deadlines, maintain a proposal database, and manage task assignments.
Assist with client development and pursuit strategies.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business, or related field.
Experience: 3+ years in proposal management.
Federal Proposal Experience: preferred.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
Skills & Competencies
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
Proven success managing complex proposals under tight deadlines.
Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
