Digital Media Content Coordinator / Media Content Coordinator
Position Summary
The Digital Media Content Coordinator is responsible for developing and producing high-quality multimedia assets that advance the mission, visibility, and strategic communication efforts of The Kalamazoo Promise. This role supports the organization’s digital and print communications through photography, videography, graphic design, and content development. The Coordinator works collaboratively with the Digital Media & Marketing Manager, staff, and partners to ensure consistent branding and creative excellence across all platforms.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Multimedia Production
Assist the Digital Media & Marketing Manager in the production of multimedia content, including photography, videography, podcasting, and graphic design.
Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos for events, programs, campaigns, and digital platforms.
Produce creative assets that effectively communicate the organization’s mission, vision, values, and services.
Support the development of scripts, shot lists, storyboards, and creative direction for video and photo projects.
Graphic Design & Branding
Design organizational materials such as flyers, social media graphics, event collateral, and promotional assets.
Maintain a consistent visual identity and brand alignment across all content and communications materials.
Assist with the development of organizational merchandise and branded swag, including design concepts, mockups, and print-ready files.
Content Review & Digital Coordination
Review promotional and communication materials prior to publication to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand adherence.
Collaborate with the Digital Media Specialist to prepare and schedule content across social media channels and the organizational website.
Organize, manage, and update digital assets for internal use and cross-departmental requests.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Workflow Support
Work with staff and partners to gather stories, visuals, and content needs that support organizational initiatives.
Assist in managing project timelines, deliverables, and workflow processes to ensure timely completion.
Provide support for day-to-day communications and marketing activities as needed.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Associate’s degree or higher in Digital Media, Communications, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
Experience in photography, videography, and editing for digital platforms.
Experience with graphic design principles and creation of digital and print assets.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy and brand consistency across all content.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and storytelling skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a creative team.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage digital files and assets efficiently.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Lightroom) or comparable tools.
Knowledge of video and photo editing, lighting, and production workflows.
Familiarity with social media platforms, digital content scheduling, and website content management systems.
