Candidates must have reliable internet access and a suitable remote work environment**SCOPE**: This position is required for routine regional registry operations of the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
This pre-ODS-C position is for a candidate who has training in healthcare, medical terminology, and health information coding, which are prerequisites to be trained to become a certified oncology data specialist. Responsible for reviewing cancer registry software messages and initiating reportable cancer cases, performs case abstracting under supervision of a certified oncology data specialist, and coordinates tumor conference meetings.
