**Job Title**Graduate Assistant Research | College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources**Agency**Prairie View A&M University**Department**Adloc Cooperative Agriculture And Research Center**Proposed Minimum Salary**$3,000.00 monthly**Job Location**Prairie View, Texas**Job Type**Graduate Assistant**Job Description**The Graduate Research Assistant will assist with agricultural field experiments, collect and analyze data from plants, soils, and weather sensors, and support research reporting and publication efforts. The role also includes helping disseminate findings through field days and scientific presentations, along with other assigned research duties.**Responsibilities:*** Assist in designing, setting up, and conducting agricultural field experiments, including deployment, calibration, and operation of plant, soil, and weather sensors for data collection.* Manage, process, and analyze field and sensor data using appropriate statistical and computational tools to ensure data quality and meaningful interpretation.* Prepare research reports, data summaries, figures, and documentation for project records, progress reporting, and funding requirements.* Support the preparation of peer-reviewed journal manuscripts and conference presentations through data analysis, literature review, and drafting of scientific content.* Participate in research dissemination activities such as field days, stakeholder demonstrations, and scientific conferences, and perform other duties as assigned.**Required Education & Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.* Presently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for at least nine (9) graduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done.* Must be in good academic standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.0 GPA.* *For work eligibility during a summer term, a student must be enrolled for at least six (6) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours or nine (9) graduate semester hours for the upcoming fall term.***Preferred Education and Experience:*** Experience in field experiments**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** Sensors used in a field experiment, computer skills, and statistical analysis**Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** PSR+, UAS operation, Soil and plant sensors, Python and R programming**Job Posting Close Date:*** Until filled.**Required Attachments:**Please attach all required documents listed below in the attachment box labeled as either “Resume/CV or Resume/Cover Letter” on the application.
