Base pay range $18.00/hr – $20.00/hr
Summary
Initiate and implement a planned group of activities geared to the developmental needs of a large group of children and to channel productively the energies and interests of these children.
Be aware of and attentive to the needs of the individual children.
Assist in the training and direction of the efforts of Assistant Teacher(s).
Develop and actively maintain positive communications with parents.
Maintain a clean, organized, healthy, and safe classroom environment.
Duties
Help build a supportive team and function within the team.
Plan (according to CCDC philosophy), implement, and direct varied and developmentally appropriate classroom activities that will enable children to develop and grow in their individual interest and abilities.
Assist in the development of short- and long-range objectives/goals for overall improvement in class programs.
Be knowledgeable in basic principles of child development. Read and attend workshops, etc., in order to keep up to date with changing ideas, new activities, etc.
Interact with children and encourage their involvement in activities.
Requirements
A Child Development Associate Certificate or
An Associate's degree with 12 or more Early Childhood credits or
A Bachelor's Degree from a college or university.
Copies of educational transcripts on or before hire date.
Three written letters of reference.
Written verification of a satisfactory medical exam.
At least 1 year of Early Childhood Teaching experience.
