Location:
St. Juliana Catholic Elementary and Middle School, Chicago, IL.
Pay:
$165.00 per day (Long Term Substitute) or $175.00 per day with PEL.
Summary:
The substitute teacher will maintain a positive learning environment, implement lesson plans, and support the school mission during a maternity leave.
Responsibilities
Implement the regularly scheduled teacher’s lesson plans or consult with principal if none provided.
Maintain a clean, respectful and orderly classroom; follow school procedures.
Record attendance, pertinent inquiries and incidents.
Enforce classroom and school policies.
Ensure student safety.
Work with a diverse student population.
Communicate effectively (written and oral) with students, parents/guardians, administrators and others.
Actively support the mission of the school.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a comparable field.
Valid state teaching licensure (out-of-state licenses accepted).
1 to 3 years of teaching experience.
High school graduate.
