This is a full-time, on‑site role located in Piedmont, CA, for a Police Officer – Lateral or Academy Graduate. The Officer will patrol assigned areas, enforce laws and ordinances, maintain public order, conduct criminal investigations, collect and process evidence, and uphold public safety. Additional duties may include crime prevention education, assisting in emergencies, collaborating with the community, and maintaining detailed reports. Officers are expected to serve and protect the residents of Piedmont with integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications
Expertise in police procedures, protocols, and responsibilities.
Knowledge of evidence gathering, handling, and preservation.
Experience with criminal investigations and law‑enforcement practices.
Understanding of police practices, methods, and related legal principles.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on community engagement.
Completion of a police academy and possession of valid POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) certification.
Physical fitness and ability to meet the physical demands of law‑enforcement duties.
Valid California driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Commitment to upholding the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in policing.
