Advanced Practice Provider - Women's Heart
Shift: Days, 1.0 FTE.
Location: Mason-Montgomery Office, 7450 S Mason Montgomery Rd, Mason, OH 45040. May also include travel to Northern Kentucky office location.
Position Description: The APP will be responsible for coverage of the outpatient Women’s Heart Clinic, including independent office clinics and collaborative clinics with physicians.
Required Skills Prior Cardiology experience preferred.
Job Overview The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) may be an APRN or PA that has been prepared with the appropriate graduate level education and authorized to practice and prescribe as such. The APP may provide general medical and/or surgical care and treatment to patients in a medical setting (office, telemedicine, or clinic) in collaboration with physicians for APPs where dictated. If the APP will be practicing in the office setting, the delineation of privileges will also dictate the scope of practice.
Education Graduate from an accredited Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
License/Certification
DEA license
BLS and ACLS certified
Certification Requirements
Certified Nurse Practitioner : Acute Care, Adult, or Family Nurse Practitioner certification verified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Current, valid license (registration) by the Ohio Board of Nursing, as well as the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
Physician Assistant : Graduate from an accredited physician assistant program with a master's degree, Physician Assistant Certification verified by the National Commission or the Certification of Physician Assistant – NCCPA. Current, valid license (registration) by the state Medical Board of Ohio as well as the state Medical Board of Kentucky. Current Certificate to prescribe by the State Medical Board of Ohio and Kentucky.
