Position Specifics The Department of Sociology and Criminology at The Pennsylvania State University is hiring a
Postdoctoral Scholar
to begin as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with faculty mentor Professor Daniel DellaPosta, graduate students, and other faculty.
Spend half of the time pursuing an independent research agenda.
Spend half of the time collaborating on joint projects and engaging with student research.
Apply computational methods to sociological questions in areas such as sociology of culture, political sociology, social psychology, economic, and organizational sociology.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field required by the appointment date.
Experience applying computational methods to sociological research.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and publish scholarly work.
