Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi‑campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree‑granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. MGA has five campuses – Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins – and a fully‑online campus. Job Summary The Department of Mathematics and Statistics within the School of Computing is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor to teach day and evening classes in mathematics at the undergraduate level. The primary teaching responsibilities will be at the Cochran campus, with possible travel to other MGA campuses (Cochran, Dublin, Macon, and Warner Robins). In addition to teaching, the role includes service to the institution.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate mathematics courses at day and/or evening time slots.
Deliver courses across the department’s offerings, including Data Analytics, General Mathematics, and Secondary Education tracks.
Facilitate student learning and assessment, and contribute to the department’s academic community.
Travel between MGA campuses as required.
Participate in institutional service activities.
Required Qualifications
Master’s or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
Reasonable record of teaching and scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of assistant professor.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of statistical theory and proficiency in industry‑standard analytical tools.
