Position Summary The Sheikh Lab within the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology seeks a motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team. The lab focuses on understanding the biological events that regulate selective expression of the mammalian genome in immune responses in the intestine and other autoimmune diseases, including lupus. The group combines immunology, molecular biology, and high‑throughput genome‑wide tools to visualize changes in chromatin structure and function in human cells and animal models.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Candidates must have a PhD, PharmD, and/or MD degree by appointment date.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Strong academic track record
Ability to work well in a goal‑oriented team setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with mammalian cell culture and basic biochemical and molecular biology techniques
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Background in computational biology
Experience in basic RNA‑seq analysis
Our group can train a motivated candidate in computational analysis of sequencing data.
