Role Overview We’re seeking a dedicated Surgical Nocturnist (PA or NP) to provide expert care across multiple high-volume surgical oncology services, including Hepatobiliary, Head & Neck, Colorectal, and Gastric Mixed Tumor during overnight shifts. You’ll collaborate with top-tier physicians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other staff to ensure comprehensive care for surgical oncology patients.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver patient-centered care during overnight shifts in high-volume surgical oncology services.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other staff to manage surgical patients from admission to discharge.
Provide timely, evidence-based clinical decisions and interventions to improve patient outcomes.
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, surgical case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations or NYS PA license.
NYS prescriptive privileges (or eligibility) for NPs; NCCPA certification for PAs.
2-3+ years of related clinical experience in oncology, preferably within surgery.
Related National NP certification or PA credential.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Core Skills
Strong decision-maker with timely, data-driven clinical choices.
Excellent communicator capable of interacting with diverse teams and patients.
Effectively navigate complex or conflicting information environments.
Adaptable in approach, responsive in real time to evolving demands.

Additional Information Hours:
Full-time Nights, 13.5 hour shifts 5pm to 6:30am with weekend and holiday rotation Location:
Main hospital campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY Pay Range:
$155,500 - $197,400 annually Reporting to:
