Premier Sports Medicine is a leader in athletic training and sports medicine services, providing high-quality, comprehensive care to secondary schools, colleges, and youth sports programs across the U.S.
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Athletic Trainer to join our growing team. This is a full-time position working primarily in secondary school/collegiate environments in Rio Grande, OH. The role includes coverage for afternoon/evening practices and games, with opportunities for weekend events and/or PRN work.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide athletic training coverage at practices, games, and events Prevent, assess, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries Maintain accurate injury and rehabilitation records Collaborate with coaches, physicians, and other key stakeholders as needed Support injury prevention and strength/conditioning initiatives Assist with the development of concussion and wellness programs Participate in continued professional development and company programs (CPR training, impact testing, etc.). Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field (Master’s preferred) Certification:
Current BOC certification and eligible for state licensure Experience:
New Graduates Encouraged (3–5 years preferred); supervisory experience a plus. Key Skills
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, families, and medical personnel Organized and detail-oriented with strong documentation practices Team-player with initiative and adaptability. Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods Carry medical kit(s) and other necessary equipment Work indoors and outdoors in varied conditions. Additional Info
Travel may be required for event coverage No required clinical hours Must pass background check and/or drug test Reliable transportation required.
