Job Summary and Responsibilities Patient Care
Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.

Diagnostic Procedures
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
Perform procedures as needed.
Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
Team Collaboration
Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
Quality Improvement
Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Compliance
Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.

Job Requirements
American Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specified area of medical specialty.
A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license‑eligible.
Where You'll Work The Department of Medicine at Creighton University Medical Center and CHI Health Heart Institute is recruiting an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist as we pursue growth in our vibrant program and expand our clinical enterprise, research, and educational activities. At Creighton University Medical Center, our Heart & Vascular Institute is one of the nation’s highest quality, award‑winning heart programs, designated as TAVR, TEER, and Afib Ablation Center of Excellence with a high procedure volume and excellent outcomes. Supported by a highly ranked team of Cardiac Surgeons, Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiology Cardiologists, and General Cardiologists, we are significantly involved in innovative national and international trials.
In conjunction with our rapid growth in Cardiac Surgery, expansion is ripe in our Heart Failure Program, augmented by the Heart & Vascular Institute being part of the integrated, multispecialty system, working with every member of the cardiovascular medicine team committed to the highest outcomes of every procedure we perform. Candidates are expected to have fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure, performing high‑quality patient‑centered Heart Team care, ensuring program growth and participating in cutting‑edge technologies, and active roles in the cardiac ICU, inpatient services, and outpatient medicine.
Additional Qualifications
Active role in the cardiac ICU, inpatient services and outpatient medicine.
Participation in a high‑quality Heart Failure Clinic.
Working in a rich academic and teaching environment educating Creighton University’s fellows, residents and medical students and conducting clinical research in collaboration with faculty within CommonSpirit and Creighton University School of Medicine.
