Morehouse General Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our growing healthcare team. Located in Bastrop, Louisiana, we are only 30 minutes away from bigger cities such as Monroe, LA. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of health conditions. This role requires a commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments to diagnose health issues.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
Provide ongoing management of chronic diseases and acute illnesses.
Perform routine health screenings and preventive care measures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Educate patients and their families about health management, lifestyle changes, and preventive measures.
Qualifications
Board Certified/Board Eligible by the ABMS or AOA in Family Medicine
Louisiana Licensure or ability to obtain
DEA with full prescriptive authority
Interest in providing primary care in an outpatient setting
Commitment to providing high quality, evidenced-based patient care
Skills
Proficiency in patient care with a focus on compassion and empathy.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Strong organizational skills to manage patient caseloads efficiently.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of family medicine.
