Overview
The University of Missouri School of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible gastroenterologist committed to clinical excellence with an interest in contributing to the medical education of our fellows. This position is specifically for inpatient and procedural laboratory coverage as a gastroenterology hospitalist.
About Us The GI division is home to faculty with expertise across several areas, including nutrition, IBD, and therapeutic endoscopy. The division offers a multidisciplinary team approach to all varieties of gastrointestinal disorders in collaboration with several specialties and subspecialties, including surgery, radiology, pathology, oncology, and surgical oncology.
Location Columbia offers small-town friendliness with big-city features and a high quality of life for people of all ages and interests. Founded on education and known as an ideal college town, its location is also an attractive spot for businesses and travelers. Located on Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 63, Columbia is at the heart of the state and the nation. Just a couple of hours’ drive from St. Louis and Kansas City, Columbia is Boone County’s largest population center, offering big‑city culture, activities, and resources with a low cost of living. Minimum Qualifications
MD/DO, BC/BE in Gastroenterology.
Candidate Evaluation
Successful completion of an ACGME‑accredited GI fellowship (IBD, motility, general endoscopy).
