Mars . Must be able to work a 12‑hour fixed night shift on a 2‑2‑3 rotation.

Job Description The Production Leader is a front‑line operations people leader who improves quality, human safety, and product cost conversion while engaging and developing talent. Leads teams of 15‑20 associates, driving safety, quality, continuous improvement, performance management, associate development, team engagement and operating results.

Key Responsibilities

Conversion – manage operating teams for efficient conversion of materials into quality products.

Change Agent – implement changes in methods, equipment, and systems to meet objectives.

Mars Supply Excellence – lead or participate in MSE Pillars, Autonomous Maintenance, and Autonomous Work Teams.

Area Ownership – coordinate reliability strategy with the Area Leadership Team.

Coaching – coach operators to build functional and leadership capabilities.

Line Operations – coordinate materials, staffing, and resources.

Standards Implementation – ensure standards are implemented on shift.

Associate Safety – promote safe behaviors and conditions.

Food Safety & Product Quality – ensure safe, defect‑free products; HACCP proficiency required.

Associate Advocacy – manage associate relations and development.

Engagement – drive a high engagement environment.

Goal Setting & Measurement – establish performance standards and report results.

Troubleshooting – utilize technical resources for maintenance and repair.

Escalations – lead incident resolution and risk mitigation.

Communications – maintain open communication channels.

Technology Advancement – identify opportunities for tech change.

Operations Strategy – participate in improvement strategies.

Recruiting & Onboarding – partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit and onboard associates.

Qualifications

Experience and demonstrated capability in leading others.

Previous direct people leadership experience preferred.

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.

Clear and concise communication skills.

Understanding of plant functions and ability to work with all levels.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), internet, email.

Ability to succeed in an ambiguous environment.

Functional knowledge of HACCP concepts.

Experience with plant sanitation practices and procedures.
