Position Summary This position is responsible for the service, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems including chillers, air conditioners, heaters, and related equipment. The technician must diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, perform timely repairs, complete accurate service reports, and process warranty claims while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
Service, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment including chillers, air conditioners, heaters, and other related systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to ensure optimal system performance.
Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
Accurately complete service reports detailing work performed, findings, and recommendations.
Prepare and submit warranty claims and documentation as required by manufacturers and company policy.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company procedures during all service activities.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding service updates, findings, and recommendations.
Mentor junior members of the team.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No formal responsibility for supervising others.
Position Requirements Required
High School or GED.
5+ years of customer service experience.
5+ years of experience with HVAC and heaters.
Proficiency with relevant software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, design tools, coding languages).
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record per company standards.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Certification in Diesel Technology.
2+ years supervisory experience.
8+ years of customer service experience.
8+ years of HVAC troubleshooting and repair.
